The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has recently announced new guidelines and policy statements on financial promotions, which aim to support the new Consumer Duty regime. In this webinar, two leading experts will examine what the FCA expects of firms communicating and/or approving financial promotions in the era of the Consumer Duty. The webinar will also share insights on innovative solutions that firms can adopt to assess and strengthen consumers’ understanding of their products or services in line with the Consumer Duty.

Deriskly and Goodwin hosted a special #fintech#regtech and #ConsumerDuty Panel and Networking Drinks in London last week. We had very high-quality and engaging discussions among industry stakeholders. As one panellist observed, the Consumer Duty has not introduced many new substantive rules for the financial services sector. The focus of the Duty on outcomes is getting firms to demonstrate they are doing the right thing for their retail customers. The FCA is tired of being blamed whenever firms fail to do so. Data and outcomes monitoring will be crucial and the Duty provides significant opportunities for new tech-enabled solutions to support compliance.

Deriskly was chosen as one of five projects to join the first Lawtech Sandbox R&D initiative in December 2020.
At this time comes to an end, we will be presenting our risk-prevention solution at the Sandbox Pilot Showcase Event.
The event will be taking place online on 25 March, 3:30 - 5:30pm GMT, and will feature exciting insights into the UK startup scene.
